TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Registration

We take receipt of a completed registration form as acceptance of the terms and conditions as stipulated.

You give us permission to film or photograph your presentation at the Conference, which may be used on the III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas website. Please state in your submitting email if you do not wish us to film or photograph your presentation.

There will be no simultaneous translation of any kind.

Payment must be received in full prior to the conference. Access will not be permitted if full payment has not been received.

Payment of the registration fee gives you the right to attend all of the cycle of lectures + enjoy all coffee breaks offered + visit poster sessions and sponsors' stands. It also gives you the right to submit an abstract, as long as within the submission deadline, and it is not mandatory.

A certificate of attendance will be given to all that fulfill a minimum of 75% of frequency in cycles of lectures.

We hope that you will not have to cancel your registration, however, if should this be necessary please see the terms below.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of your conference registration will be possible before the following dates by sending an email to usp.simpac@gmail.com

Cancellation before 30th March, 2018: 90% refund of registration fee

Cancellation after 30th March, 2018: no refund

Event's alterations

Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.

III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of this Symposium. III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this symposium is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this symposium impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

In the event that III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas cancels the Symposium for any reason, you will receive a fully refound of the contract fee paid.

In the event that III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas postpones the Symposium for any reason and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, you will receive a fully refound of the contract fee paid.

Abstract Submission

By submitting an abstract you have agreed to the terms and conditions as set out below:

You grant III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology & VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas a non–exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display and store the abstract worldwide in all forms (including on the Institute’s website), formats and media now known or as developed in the future, including print, electronic and digital forms. You will retain copyright of your abstract, in addition to the moral rights you are entitled to as author of the abstract.

Abstract will be published, if accepted, as submitted. No editing to grammar or spelling will be undertaken by the Organizing Committee.

The author is responsible for the accuracy of the abstract.

All authors presenting at the Conference must register and pay to attend.

If the author(s) have any commercial interests or associations that might pose a conflict of interest regarding this submission, they must be declared. If accepted for oral presentation, the commercial interest or association must be declared on the title slide or the slide immediately following the title slide.

You confirm that the submission has been approved by all authors.

At least one author will be available to present the abstract if selected for the programme.

Abstracts not following the guidelines for submission will not be published.
2. Guidelines for submission:

Text: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5.
-
Title: UPPERCASE, in bold, centred text.
-
List of authors: full name(s), centred text. In case of more than one author’s affiliated Institution, authors have to be sequentially identified with superscript numbers after the last name.

Institution(s): full name of the Department and/or Institute, and full name of the Institution followed by the city and country
-
Abstract text: up to 350 words, justified text, with the following structure: 1) Introduction, 2) Aims; 3) Methodology, 4) Results, and 5) Conclusions.

Financial support (optional): if the study was supported include the name of the financial support agency.
-
Keywords: include 3 to 6 keywords that were not included in the title.

Docuemnt file in Word 2007 format/type (.doc)
3. Abstracts must be submitted before midnight on the day of the abstract submission deadline.
Abstracts received after this deadline will NOT be accepted. Faxed or posted abstracts will not be accepted.

Poster presentation

All abstracts selected to poster presentation must respect the following rules to recieve a certificate:

Poster dimensions: 90 cm x 120 cm.

Posters must be in English
-
Authors must set up their posters between the estabilished hours (published on the site).

Presenters must be at their poster boards at the estabilished hour of the evaluation, wich will be sended by Email.
2. Posters should be removed at the end of the event, otherwise they will be discarded.

Oral presentation
-
Only those who agree to present orally will compete to the best work award.
-
A certificate of best works will be given to all selected to oral presentation. There will be no cash prize as award to selected works.

Once named to oral presentation, the presenter must confirm their presence. otherwise, another participant will be called.

Instructions to oral presentation will be send by e-mail, for each candidate selected.
